I think it is likely, given the devastating revelations from the 6 January Hearings,

Chump will declare for reelection the day the hearings end.

He will use "it's a political prosecution" as a cudgel against the DOJ.

maybe not immediately but certainly soon and then claim that since he is a candidate they should back off not to interfere with the election..

he's a narcissistic sociopath who exploits bad news so well. He's un-phased by the bad press, even relishes in it

and has been successful at scoring points from it miraculously

If he's not indicted he will continue to pollute our political environment
