Realistically, will it be sometime this week (today being Monday June 13th), next week (week of the 20th), or the week after (week of the 27th)? The week after that is Independence Day. I'm pretty sure that they are on recess that week, all the way until October (I need a job like that!).
I understand that only the Justices know for sure what day/week they will release their decisions, but based on past rulings, what's your guesstimate?

(14,647 posts)The clerks, who normally do all the heavy lifting are in the midst of a witch hunt for the leaker. So little was reportedly getting done, they haven't been issuing rulings on a regular weekly basis.
Apparently the court likes to release a handful of cases every week rather do a massive dump before heading off for break.
It's been written up by some of the scotus bloggers, but I don't have a link handy.
So who knows. They aren't following their traditional process of releasing rulings.

(31,949 posts)To deflect from the 1st Jan 6 hearing. No opinions were issued...
Major decisions will likely be issued the last week of June. The SC does not care about the Jan 6 hearings.

(115,615 posts)Usually they adjourn in July but technically this term isn't over until October 1. So some opinions might not come out for at least another month.

(15,337 posts)It looks like there will be more opinions released on Wednesday. So I guess if they do 10 a week they will complete them all by July.

(2,770 posts)I'm kind of thinking along your lines... I'm thinking Dobbs won't be announced until the very last day possible. They'll have a chance to vamoose out of town, also thinking it'll be too late to organize anything that will impact the election. But we'll show them. Instead, I have a feeling it'll do just the opposite and energize the election. The marches that would be happening immediately will be organized to the polling places!

(15,337 posts)Another poster said there were like 30, but I'd like to see an exact number, since we had five opinions yesterday.
