It will be interesting to see what criminal referrals the committee sends to the DOJ.

They don't have to do this, the DOJ does not need referrals, but I believe the committee will file criminal referrals. Just to show how serious the crimes Trump and his band of traitors committed.

The crimes are in clear view, Garland and DOJ are complicit if they do nothing.

And we're fucked.

It's just a matter of time. You do realize this is going to take years to complete? These investigations are the largest in our history.

Michael Cohen pled guilty and named tfg but had no documentation to prove his claim. So it came down to Cohen’s word vs TFG’s word. Add in Cohen had already been convicted for lying in the case and… There was just no case to be made.

It’s the age old problem with convicting mob bosses… A lack of documentation.

I believe they will send referrals. They don't NEED to. But I believe they will.

They have done a shit-ton of investigating and are sewing the fabric together beautifully. When they wrap up their investigation they should gift-wrap some criminal referrals.

electors that trump conspired with others to replace the official ones. The pressure trump exerted on Pence to reject the election certification. That amounts to defraud the United States, and obstruction of an official proceeding.

Everything we have seen from January 6th proceedings the DOJ knew about.

Tump and his attorneys had a zoom conference call with 300 legislators urging them to overturn the choice of the voters in their states, even though no evidence of fraud was found. This was publicly exposed by some who were part of that call.

Trump gave direct instructions to his DOJ for enforcement powers for improper ends. Only when faced with mass DOJ resignations did trump back down.

I could go on, but the DOJ has this and much more.

If the DOJ will bring charges only if they receive a criminal referral from the January 6th committee, then they are not doing their job

The fact that there are members of the January 6th committee that want the DOJ to bring charges against trump because the DOJ has more than enough evidence to indict trump and his associates, tells me I am in good company

One small detail, if we lose the House, the January 6th committee will be dissolved in a NY minute

Not really in their purview. They'll publish a report and it'll be up to Garland and the DOJ to issue any warrants or subpoenas.
