Utterly useless and likely dangerous, but it's more than thoughts and prayers.

GET RID OF THE GUNS!

Much more difficult and expensive now that we've allowed gun manufacturers and nuts to control the discussion and sales.

I'm one of a minority of teachers who has a permanent teaching certificate. I haven't used it since 1989 - and don't plan to - expecially now that there is a chance my peers will be carrying. I'll have to think through whether there is any benefit to a symbolic action.

He isn't a hard-nose RWner, but he will do almost anything to please the fascist elements Ohio. If a teacher will not carry weapon, how long before said teacher will be harassed by RW goons? Eventually all teachers will have to submit.

My niece is a teacher in Ohio, she will quit before carry weapons.

If I had kids of school age and lived in Ohio, I’d be looking into homeschooling.

https://www.npr.org/2022/06/13/1104570419/ohio-dewine-guns-teachers

The new law dramatically reduces the amount of training a teacher must undergo before they can carry a gun in a school safety zone. Instead of more than 700 hours of training that's currently required, school staff who want to be armed would get training that "shall not exceed" 24 hours, House Bill 99 states.

Not that we expected otherwise from the QOP.

How long until a teacher snaps and shoots up their own classroom?

How long until someone manages to ambush and overpower their teacher to get the gun, then use it to shoot up the school?

As fucking usual, instead of taking a look at gun control, the solution to the gun problem is... more guns. Stupid qult fuckers... That's like fighting cancer by causing more cancer.

Honestly, DeSwine... Doing nothing would've been a better option than this.

America is a gun.

How long does it take to change into full body armor, anyway?
