This is the same Rosen who asked Matthew McConaughey if he was grandstanding, when he spoke about the mass shooting in Texas.
Rosen left Fox News after multiple accusations of sexual harassment from coworkers.
He worked at right wing news outlet Sinclair media, before getting a job at NewMax
No surprise that the NY Rag, er Times, is pushing crap like this, not unlike the hatchet job they did on Hillary, and pushing the lie that the email investigation had been reopened 11 days before the 2016 election

(25,355 posts)It is a representative democracy.

(10,506 posts)partisan SCOTUS. There could be Democratic protests in states Trump narrowly won and even is states like here in Texas (basically 55/45). Right-wing counter-protestors show up, and conflict grows. Democratic protests escalate after Trump is inaugurated. Now Trump has the powers of the presidency at his disposal. He can mobilize federal resources and declare a state of emergency. He could have the justifications he needs to establish an authoritarian state.
I guess that would be called an "Authoritarian democracy"? Similar to Russia?
I know it is a semantics but I think that is very possible and not my personal definition of representative democracy.
wnylib
(25,355 posts)In a pure democracy, each individual member of society would vote on each issue. That is not practical, so we elect people to represent us - a representative democracy, aka, a republic. In order to preserve democratic governance, the rights of the political minority must be preserved and protected. If they are not, then you have an authoritarian government, not a democracy.

Funny how almost no one questioned the insanity of the monster as he spewed his crap 24/7 and they enabled it.
