So many of the pics captured (yes captured, not staged) of our president are so genuine.... I always seem to tear up.

Yes, the photographers are pros...but I think it's the man that makes these photos so powerful

My heart goes out to that poor woman. She looks devastated. I'm glad she's at least got a shoulder to lean on.

They're for the living.

I attended the funeral of my late aunt earlier this year. She made it to age 101, was in quite good health and walking unassisted when she literally fell over dead.

The funeral was at a Catholic church. The first thing the priest did after introducing himself was to point out that a few in the audience, including the deceased lady's brother, had remembered to "bring something" to the ceremony - A smile.

it's the theatre of wiping his teary eyes.

but that's no big deal either really - I think it's more funny than anything else because I see not much similarity between Bill and Barack when it's comes to genuineness and compassion and the real deal. I think Obama wins that one as he is who he is and doesn't have to act and keep up with which lie he said when and to who.

Can we please not do the hagiography thing here?
Yeah, he's doing a great job w/ the hurricane, and he's much better than the other candidate, so I'll vote for him. But he's far from perfect, and FAR from liberal.
