I know we have been told that the 1/6 Committee Hearings are expected to drop some huge eye-opening, jaw dropping tRump crime facts.....I am thinking this may be connected to the Mueller Report....saying that this was never a
nothing burger" and Bill Barr will have some explaining to do...
Any thoughts?

(4,845 posts)The Jan 6 hearing is about how or what happened in Jan 6. It's not a hearing about all of the TFG crimes.

This was just me having thoughts with my morning coffee...

(102,225 posts)but the statute of limitations is/has already run on some of it, so I'd not hold your breath on the latter. CIA knows, undoubtedly, so maybe all the facts will come out some day.

(4,552 posts)Thats just my opinion of course.
The Mueller report and the actions surrounding it are not the focus of 1/6. I am pretty sure heads would roll, and the MAGA public would go nuts if they did delve into that report, regardless if it was appropriate.
As far as there being some huge jaw-dropping crime fact, I am thinking they have PLENTY within the 1/6 purview to make us all very happy and shocked and enraged. If we arent already. I want to have them show evidence that he was present at a meeting with the Proud Boys and/or Oath Keepers while strategizing for 1/6.
Personally, Im very happy that they have begun this drum beat about the the big rip off. The one thing the feds seem to have nailed down is the ability to come after someone over financial crimes. If they could ever convince the MAGA Victims that he ripped them off (which he did), and then get them in some class action civil suits, Trump would be bankrupt with the fines and penalties. And hopefully he would even do time. Remember, it was income tax evasion that brought down Capone.
We shall see

I too am fixed on the focus on the insurrection....

(4,032 posts)It doesnt have to be, nor should it be the focus of J6, but the public, in a free democracy has the right to know the extent of TFGs corruption.
