An existential threat of violence: the extreme right wing's use of steroids and PEDs

I've been an amateur athlete for more than five decades in a number of different sports. Currently, I compete in powerlifting and enjoy both the health benefits of resistance training and the camaraderie of the brother and sisterhood of the sport. I compete in a tested federation, which although it doesn't completely eliminate the use of performance enhancing drugs (PEDs) within the league, it significantly reduces the percentage of those athletes who, "play by their own rules."

And that brings me to my point.

In the immediate aftermath of J6, there were reports of an arrestee, who was carting around IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices) and among his belongings was also a cache of steroids. A quick Google search yields that this not an isolated or random case of drug abuse, but a pattern seen among many of Bloated Tick's terrorist cult. Here are just two:

There is ample evidence from the medical and law enforcement community that links PEDs to outbursts of violence and it most certainly appears that the extremist end of the spectrum has weaponized their use in their campaign of terrorism. This is what concerns me as young, impressionable, clueless men are drawn into the circle of the terrorists because they are encouraged to bulk up for battle. (As a sidebar to see how PEDs have gained an unambiguous, positive narrative just type into YouTube 'PEDs, strength training' and see for yourself the myriad of videos of YT influencers touting everything from 1-Androstenediol to Trenbolone).

It goes without saying that these drugs along with indoctrination will continue to fuel the violent urges of the terrorists and is an existential threat most recently seen in Idaho. Now that the problem has been identified here's a solution, treat illegal use of PEDs exactly as we treat the distribution and abuse of opioids.

8. I have worked out for just under 40 years & never touched roids

I had acquaintances who did back in the 80s and turned into complete assholes. They are probably the 50 year something shitheads that the right lives now. And

Now you have these men's clinics that are dispensing testosterone to every flabby 40 to 60 year old with a credit card. And "influencers", and MCU actors, are eating all types of trenbolona sandwiches to get sub 10% body fat. This is doing to men what the fashion industry has done to women for decades. Male body dismorphia is on a steep incline these days.

It doesn't shock me that right-wing nutcases are eating anavar pills like pez. They are all show and no go. The biceps are called "guns" for a reason. And heavy steroid use shrivels their balls. Idiots.

It pisses me off to no end that I maintain muscle at 54 without help and these yahoos are getting a massive boost. Plus I have a light frame. If I juiced I would not go over 175lbs but would look 200 plus. That would be cool but I would have to eat three times as much than I do now or can. And my knees would blow out....

The biggest downside I noticed while taking them was depression.

Roid rage is a thing, but I’m my opinion it’s way too overplayed. If you were an asshole when you’re taking steroids, chances are you’re also an asshole when you weren’t taking them too.
