Thank you Loraine at Jiffy Lube !!

Okay so I got lazy today after running a bunch of errands earlier for half the day. Was going to get home and change the oil on the Ford Explorer myself with the summer heat hitting and so on. Had to get it done today whatever.. was my plan.

Anyway drove by Jiffy Lube and said to myself "no-one is there", pulled a quick right into the stall. Ended up waiting like an hour before they even got to my car sigh ... yeah I thought of just grabbing my keys and heading home. But I went "Wi Fi" on my phone in the waiting room instead and learned a 'possibility' of an 8.6% increase in Social Security next year when I retire !!!

Waiting problem ended up being a couple of MAGA idiot (customers) that I ended up confronting myself ... so not to get anyone else at Jiffy Lube fired. I got involved and said things the employees wanted to but you know, just couldn't. MAGA Idiots, the employees were trying their best to 'be nice' to them. I literally kicked them out and dared them to call the cops lol ... I had witnesses.

End of story is Loraine had her hair tucked up underneath her hat and was the one who DID the oil change, checked the car out and let me know everything I needed to know to keep this tank running till I retire. Ha ... no she wasn't the receptionist ... she was the mechanic. Ya gotta love this shit at my cranky old man age ... you go girl. Big hugs.

but I too just do NOT want to do it, it's too hot, messy, and then I have to properly dispose of the oil. I am perfectly content drink coffee and surfing on my phone in A/C while they do it. Absolutely!

I go to an independent mechanic with his own garage. He allows me to inspect the underside of my vehicles while they’re on the lift. Cheaper than a quick-lube place and I get to make sure all is well underneath the vehicles.
