I'm guessing Morning Joe is (finally) talking about Fox News...and Ozzie Osborne

They didn’t mention it by name but Mika said she watched 3 hours of “another news network” and there was NO mention of Jan. 6 Commission. This network did have 45 minutes of panel discussion about Ozzie Osborne having surgery.

I said “finally” because I don’t think people understand the vastly different world the RW media paints for their viewers. No it shouldn’t dictate discussion but it’s important to keep an eye on.

They make "coy" references to Fox pretty regularly without naming them, especially in regards to the hearings and just what a bizarro world it is over this.

2. i check them every now and then to see what they are reporting, including this morning

and it's all Biden bashing. constant. But no mention or discussion of the Jan. 6 hearings. They really do paint an entirely different universe.

Talk radio also. I’m no longer surprised by what I hear there.
Fox n Friends doesn’t discuss topics, they flat out preach to the audience. Having cup of coffee watching them gives the viewer all they need to know for that day. Oh and what they don’t need to know.

new and redefined terminology, their own circular narratives made up from faux events and characters created/slandered for the purpose. All common "knowledge," too well known to question, for those who reside in Faux-world.

People immersed in that world get everything drilled into their head from waking up with Fox to talk radio back to Fox at night. That’s not even brining in self induced la la land of social media.

They’ve never heard of Durham anymore.

6. That's how they create the "alternative fact" world.

I used to like that we have the same facts in the world but you are entitled to your opinion on those facts. And in some ways, I can respect their difference of opinion. But now, they have their entire different "facts" and they get to filter whatever topics they want to discuss. This is where the "increased partisanship" and divide in US comes from. We can't even discuss anything anymore when we don't even have the same "facts".

They are conditioned to distrust anything democrats or MSM tells them. The only reliable sources for them are right wing outlets and there is not anything we can say that can get through to them.

7. I can only watch for a minute or two. Any longer and I begin to question realities and facts I've

known to be true my entire life. FOX News isn't about slanted news, rightwing propaganda or even lies, it's a re-ordering of everything rational and real in the world. Small wonder our country is so divided.

12. I don't have to hear from other networks or posters about what occurs on that network

I get to hear the propaganda every single day, and loudly. I live with a fair-n-balanced true believer who only "trusts" that network to be truthful and honest with him.

And every day or so I try to engage with him, and discuss what he's heard and try to fill in the blanks or maybe provide some facts, truth, reality, science or mathematics in the hope of maybe one day reaching him and getting the light bulb to click on, before it goes out forever.

I love my father, a Vietnam veteran, an avowed conservative, a bible believer but not a bible follower. And I find it a worthy cause to continue to reach out to him. He deserves it. He earned it.

A fathers love of his son is proven everyday in his support and care for his veteran son. And I want to reciprocate with a sons love of his father and prove it everyday.
