On CNN just now: Don Lemon really bashing Biden over his age, claiming he isn't sharp anymore.

It is really awful. He is claiming that Biden wasn't making sense on Jimmy Kimmel. Is that true?

He said "I'm in my 50's and I'm not a sharp as I used to be."

So, maybe no one over the age of 50 should be president?

He is arguing that it is responsibility as a journalist to question Biden's mental acuity.

Don, their corporate types may suggest otherwise, but they really "don't like the gays" over there.

Yes, I'm being facetious (about Lemon auditioning for Fox, but... )

Hey Don, ask any physician or other in medicine/veterinary medicine or other training programs who ever had to work days on end on constant call or long-term overnight shifts how THEY sound at the end (and middle) of it. Verbal skills /acuity drop in even those in their 20s with sleep-loss and constant stress and they will sound identically. Get a clue. Believe me, I KNOW.

Really, who can read up on everything one needs to know when the world’s daily news can cover subjects from AAA per-gallon Memorial Day weekend gas prices to the controversially named James Webb infrared space telescope micrometeoroids to Zyklon gas substituted for death row executions in Arizona?

Because it's factual. I remember when he voted for the Defense of Marriage Act. I knew back then that it was bullshit. It was a horrible vote. Let's not pretend that because Biden has come around that he is the MOST STAUNCH DEFENDER OF GAYS. Because that's just not true. We don't need to pretend that Biden is the best ever at everything to support him and vote for him.

You wanted to open a good deal more than the question you managed to focus on this round. We were to go into the crime act, and I expect credit cards and bankruptcy were next on the agenda.

You close with a rather easy dodge, which boils down to 'sure I support him but look what a dick unworthy of support he's been all his career.' The phrase 'Damn with faint praise' comes to mind. The effect of your line is to reduce support for the man, were it to be pressed at any volume. You have not answered the question why any of this matters at the moment. You are of course free not to do so....

You want to have a discussion about 20 years ago... sure, we can do that.

You do realize people can change, and a truly thinking, aware person is constantly appraising their belief system and making adjustments. People and their positions change and evolve.
I am thankful Joe Biden's has chosen to evolve in this direction.

But right now, the subject is current affairs and Joe Biden's support of the LGBTQ community.
