https://january6th.house.gov/news/press-releases/select-committee-renews-request-information-representative-loudermilkChairman Thompson's letter ---
On May 19, 2022, the Select Committee invited you to meet with us about evidence of a tour you provided on January 5, 2021. Based on our review of surveillance video, social media activity, and witness accounts, we understand you led a tour group through parts of the Capitol complex on January 5, 2021. That group stayed for several hours, despite the complex being closed to the public on that day.
Surveillance footage shows a tour of approximately ten individuals led by you to areas in the Rayburn, Longworth, and Cannon House Office Buildings, as well as the entrances to tunnels leading to the U.S. Capitol.
Individuals on the tour photographed and recorded areas of the complex not typically of interest to tourists, including hallways, staircases, and security checkpoints.

(9,998 posts)They didn't say PLEASE, so of course he's not going to comply.
Perhaps they should refer it to DOJ, where they'll get around to charging him with jaywalking in 5-10 years.

(972 posts)and he denied it (based on his review of security footage) then walked it back a little but still denies their primary point, maybe a tour but not reconnaissance.
They release this and he denies it.
Sheesh they are telling him - we are releasing this and you should understand we have more than this. Do you really want to deny it more and not testify?
Its like he assumes these are all hollow threats he can ignore like politians have always done.
Dont try it this time. These people are not messing around!

(11,767 posts)By the group and loudermilk. Why did loudermilk leave the group unattended in sensitive areas of the Capitol? That shifty weasel has a lot of explaining to do!

(16,935 posts)No person gets automatic respect. Respect is earned. No person is above the law, no matter how many terms they are elected to, no matter what position they are elected to. The U.S.A. does not have royalty representing us. We have House of Representatives and Senate. Trouble is, too many people elected to one of the chambers think they are especially special. Stop creating loopholes that let these humans with 2 legs and stinky poop wiggle out of their legal misdoings. And anybody who is shown right now to have acted against their country needs to be charged with treason and face the maximum punishment for their crime. I'm sick of seeing traitors treated with kid gloves, and if they are charged and found guilty, getting a slap on the wrist for trying to overthrow our country.

(128,865 posts)not the guy who commented on the footage - Thomas Manger.
Sund resigned the day after January 6, 2021.
So it's possible by not having been there nor had the context of what he saw, it may have skewed his perspective.
