Rachel's new theory: Trump didn't want to win the 2020 election legitimately

He wanted to lose at the polls so he could execute a coup afterward and destroy our democracy. She said it on one of the J6 discussions.

No link, one would be appreciated if someone sees a video or transcript.

So now he will spend the rest of his life trying to get that high again. Seeing all that violence committed for his sake, it was the best day of his life

Posters are right. Bannon and company are his "brain" trust.

The coup was plan B. A contingency plan.
They thought they rigged the election so another PV loss but EV win was in the bag.
Plan B was in the "unlikely" event they lost.
TFG & the enablers really didn't understand how many people viscerally disliked TFG.
So, voter turnout blew away Plan A.
I don't think anybody in that crowd was strategic enough to have the coup as Plan A.

I'm not surprised that he was fully on board with cheating and stealing the election in any way possible. It's what he does: lie, cheat, and steal and then whine about being suppressed and treated "unfairly."

Just trump being trump.

... and expected it to work this time too. But he didn't count on millions of un-hackable paper ballots.

2020 was likely the most legitimate election we've had in decades.

I think she at least implied that he was afraid in advance that he would lose the election based on legitimate votes and therefor came up with an alternate strategy to thoroughly discredit the election before vote counting even began. It's not that he didn't want to win a legitimate election, he just knew that he likely would lose one. Anyone looking at polls could see that his reelection bid was in trouble. So he began to make claims early and often that the process was rigged against him, including his effort to discredit mail in voting, in advance. as ripe for fraud.

There's nothing new about this so called "theory".
