USA Today via Yahoo NewsThe Franklin County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center in Columbus, Ohio lost power on Tuesday and created a Facebook post asking for the community to bring ice.
"We need your help. The power is out here at the shelter, and our pups needs ice to keep cool in this blazing heat!," the post said.

(2,220 posts)And there are a lot of irate people here in Columbus today because of AEP shutting off power to most of the city (but not the wealthy suburbs) during a heat wave. Hubster and I were without power, internet, and cell phone service for fifteen hours yesterday and could not find out why. I have friends who are currently using AEP headquarters as a cooling station and expecting to be arrested.
This, however, is the best story to come out of a ridiculous situation.
