They wait a year, use the combo of gerrymandering, and corrupting the electoral system to steal majority in one or both houses. They then block any repairs to the system while using the SCOTUS to further gut democracy, install who they want in the whitehouse in 2024 no matter what the voters want.

And then in 2030 or so when the justice department would normally get around to looking at the situation, they just replace anyone who might make an issue of it.
