You know how sometimes you get down on yourself? You feel embarrassed?

You may feel that you're not a good person?

You may feel like you do not deserve good things in life?

You cringe at some small embarrassing thing that you did years ago?

You may feel like you're an "impostor" at your job?

When you start feeling like that...think about what these high powered, highly paid, complicit motherfuckers did to this country. Think about how weak they are. Think about how they allowed themselves to be manipulated.

There's a lot of people who are going to be in for a world of hurt because of the coup.

They won't be hot shit anymore.

Justice is going to smack them down to size, and you're a fucking rock star.

And I’ve never done any real harm to anyone. So, yeah, it would be very satisfying if “these high powered, highly paid, complicit motherfuckers” can suffer a fraction of what normal people suffer. I’d be happier if they all got to spend the rest of their lives locked up, but I’ll go out on a limb and say it ain’t gonna happen.

I really like how you think!

We’re so deeply affected by things, internal and external. I’ve always thought we’re like bonsai. A snip here and we grow this way, another snip and we grow that way, and we’re so often the ones who can’t tell we grew into something beautiful. (I really ought to do that as a poem sometime, eh? 😄

It reminds me of a poem by Edna St. Vincent Millay:

SCRUB

If I grow bitterly,
Like a gnarled and stunted tree,
Bearing harshly of my youth
Puckered fruit that sears the mouth;
If I make of my drawn boughs
An Inshospitable House,
Out of which I nevery pry
Towards the water and the sky,
Under which I stand and hide
And hear the day go by outside;
It is that a wind too strong
Bent my back when I was young,
It is that I fear the rain
Lest it blister me again.

Yes, you would be able to write a great poem from that metaphor! I might do something like that too.

If I do, I'll share it privately with you.

Thank you for supplying inspiration to me.

Pretty surprised those 3 haven't been beaten in public, seriously, what is wrong with people?

"imposter syndrome". I think this is where you are performing a job or task in which people are praising you for the amazing job that you are doing, and the amazing skills that you have, but you yourself feel that you are not worthy of that praise. In other words, you feel like you are an imposter.

As for the other stuff. I think people in general tend not to fully recognize their own self-worth, and tend not to really understand just how important they actually are..

I watched them start a war based on lies, and there was no justice

I watched them collude with Russia and steal the presidency from Hillary, and there was no justice.

I watched them allow Covid to run rampant in America, killing a million, and there has been no justice

I watched them pack the Supreme Court with rightwing hacks, and there has been no justice.

Thank you for your kind words.

I've been suicidal before. I know what it feels like.

I had a friend who attempted, but failed. Months later, he told me that he was going to attempt again, but he didn't because of something I said to him. He said I saved his life. I had no idea. I was just talking on the phone with him for a couple of hours.

I asked him what I said that made him change his mind.

He replied "everything". This was the best thing that my ears have ever heard.

No matter your circumstances, no matter how bad you are feeling, FuzzyRabbit, I can pretty much guarantee you that you have touched someone's life in positive ways that you will most likely never know.

If my fiance could get $60,000 for a shrill harangue, I'd say that alone was worth proposing.

And just imagine piling up $250 MILLION just by begging for donations to your unworthy, selfish cause.

Meanwhile, the rest of us struggle to make ends meet, afraid that any serious medical issues will bankrupt us and leave us homeless. Afraid that we could lose our jobs and go months without income -- or are already doing so. Knowing we lose our health insurance with our jobs. Knowing that even semi-comfortable retirement is a pipe dream.

And LMcL goes and blows over $100 MILLION of OUR taxes just on his golf outings after complaining about how often his predecessor played golf -- which was much, much less than him.

Worst of all, he's only the most flagrant case of an Uglican living as a parasite on the public -- for the rest of them, it's more carefully and quietly carried out.
