(15,084 posts)Is that it made Pence look like a hero instead of a weasly twerp. He really wanted to do Trump's bidding and he asked everyone (Dan Quayle?) how to make it happen. Only after everyone told him that he could not change the results of the election did he do the right thing.

(17,230 posts)plus how come the Committee showed no clips of Pence today? Surely they asked him to
come in and talk to them. Or did I miss something during a bathroom break?

(26,735 posts)Republicans likely take over in January and start new hearings and release an opposing report (or even vote to withdraw this one).
But nothing wipes away the stain (or stops the DOJ from acting for at least two more years).

Disappointing
Especially now in a midterm year.

(26,735 posts)This isn't a football team down 20 points in need of a halftime pep talk that says we believe in them.
It has nothing at all to do with what we WANT to happen... but anyone who knows anything about national politics can see what is "likely".
If we lose ten seats it will be a phenomenally GOOD performance in the current environment (and historically) - and yet we will lose the House.
Not rooting for it. But pollyanna-ish pretending that all will turn out ok is whistling past the graveyard and setting readers up for an incredibly painful night in a few months. Ignoring it by insisting that people ignore every single experienced political analyst? That's what would be dissapointing

Drop dead or go to jail, please (mr) tfg. And take your spawn with you (including all your groupies.)
