Lawrence O'Donnell tearing into Pence

Where was he on Dec. 6? This all could have probably been avoided if Pence had the courage then to stand up to Trump, and not wait until the afternoon of Jan. 6, when it was too late.

It was a very good rant, and O’Donnell was angry. Hope you all caught it. Puts Pence’s true role into much needed perspective.

2. Off topic, but RE: The West Wing

One well-done episode is in Season 2 (IIRC), dealing with how Bartlet met Mrs. Valandingham. O’Donnell plays Jed’s father. O’Donnell was also involved in the much-later debate. etween Vinick and Santos, broadcast live. (I don’t think he was still one of the show runners at that point.)

I’ve always respected his opinions and calm manner. Seeing him wound up tonight proves how important Pence’s role was and why it can’t be forgotten.

And damn…now I have to go binge-watch TWW (I have the complete series on DVD). Been meaning to do that anyway.

4. I'm about to end my 2d full viewing, and begin my 3d.

I have a full set of discs, and again, it's helping get me through trying times.

AWFUL how he treated his fictional son! Just saw the debate (western version; didn't know he was involved.)

3. Pence's cowardice is ongoing.

He's still hiding in the shadows, afraid to come clean and testify. As the many who defended him have done with the J6 committee and the DOJ. Maybe Trump was right about Pence all along.

5. O'Donnell didn't think it through. What might have happened

if, in December, Pence had leaked the fact that TFG was trying to get him to take over the EC vote certification? What would TFG have done in that case? I think it's become apparent that TFG was capable of anything, including offing his Vice President - so, if Pence gone public with his concerns would he have had an unfortunate accident a la Putin, giving TFG the opportunity to replace him with a more compliant VP (Eastman? Giuliani?) in time for 1/6?
