So, where would Trump go should he decide to make a run for it?

Russia is out: Putin is half dead and soon to be deposed. Don't think Russia needs more trouble with U.S.A.
Saudi Arabia is possible, but unlikely: With Joe Biden planning to visit soon it seems unlikely, but not impossible.
Turkey is possible: But again, unlikely. Erdogan probably doesn't want the headache that is Trump either.
Brazil is more likely:Bolsonaro would likely accept him. Don't all fascists go to South America? Just saying.

It's not out of the realm of possibility that this dude bolts.

He isn’t the center of attention, whether it’s good or bad. Being in the limelight is his oxygen. I can’t see him living anonymously on a small island or anything or a place where he isn’t “king”

Rump is Saudi's kind of guy. No extradition treaty with the U.S.

before fleeing the country. I can't wait until he tries to use that trump card. I'm guessing every justice he appointed to the SC will laugh at him. They already got what they wanted and they no longer need to prop up the twice impeached dictator wannabe. 🃏 🤣

Looking at the example set by a powerful Chicago politician, who was indicted and immediately posted bail. Three years later, no trial. His attorneys keep getting postponement after postponement. Now his time is running out, he's almost 80 and will likely never see a courtroom. Same for rtump. He'll never be punished. He's 76 now.....

And the weather sucks even worse than in New Jersey. TFG would want to be someplace where he can live in luxury and not worry about being bothered by people who don't like him. So he'd probably go somewhere that would provide him with security, posh conditions - and preferably warm year-round so he can golf all the time - with no chance of extradition. Dubai or Saudi Arabia would work, though those places are very hot; but they probably would build an indoor, air-conditioned 18-hole golf course for him.

or another wealthy country without an extradition treaty. It will have to be somewhere where he can maintain his current lifestyle, most likely one of the handful of Middle Eastern petro-states without a treaty. Bahrain, perhaps? I'm not sure he'd take a chance with Brazil, since we have an extradition treaty with them, as we do with Turkey, Hungary, and most of Europe.

and one my husband and I discussed last night. Possibly Russia. Good riddance if Trump ends up in one of the countries where there currently are dictators. There is room for only one and I doubt Trump will like being second fiddle or even lower on the totem pole. Best case scenario is he ends up in an orange jumpsuit in prison for life. We can only hope for a life sentence or he has a massive coronary or stroke.

…he is no longer useful to Putin. He would want to avoid Russia.

If he is arrested, frog marched and put on trial (as I feel is the only way to mitigate what they are planning to do with the next two election cycles), then we will be in dangerous but necessary territory with possible terror attacks from the die hards in response; then President Biden will be forced to respond and welcome to Civil War 2 in the shape of an insurgency we usually read about happening over seas.

He has to be punished, but in doing so, we may have to go through some very dark times. Worse than it already is.
