But I'd give the badness edge to DeSantis, who seems to enjoy going out of his way to persecute people. Pence gets all Jesusy and doesn't seem to be especially bright, while DeSantis is probably smarter and meaner. I don't foresee that Pence is going anywhere, though. The MAGAts hate him now, and no amount of toadying will change the fact that they see him as a traitor to The Great Orange One.

He is a horrible politician who has dicktator tendencies. Pence is a shallow, hollow person but never as bad as the Gov. of Fl.

...Pence is crazy, but he's at least willing to stick to the Constitution. DeSantis would spend his first 2 years blowing it up.

DeSantis would be worse and it wouldn't even be close.

DeSantis has all of Trumps worse intentions but is more effective in actually making bad things happen.

I am sure they can make a bargain (Cabinet level position for Ivanka and Jr. for example). He could sign pardons for Trump and his minions. DeSantis might even offer Trump a tasty Ambassadorship like to the Court of Saint James. Trump would just love that.

I am putting DeSantis as the odds on favorite to be the next President. He is very good at what he does (finding wedge issues and driving the hammer home).

The Trump agenda with a more intelligent torturer in chief. Doesn't play golf, more time to harm people, which seems to be his #1 goal.

Pence seems too weak and no one respects him, not even "old school" republicans.

1) Pence has proven that he wouldn't not certify the votes of the states.

2) DeSantis hasn't let a culture war issue go by that he couldn't use to rile people up.

He's probably just as bad as Trump, but is smarter, and would probably have a better chance of winning in the general.

Despite all our fears, let's not forget the fact that Trump is a proven loser. (And that was when running as an incumbent.)
