Montana governor faces backlash for taking 'personal trip' without explanation amid devastating

Yellowstone floods

Amid historic flooding in Yellowstone National Park and surrounding communities, just mere weeks before the summer tourism season, one key figure has been notably absent: Montana Governor Greg Gianforte.

His constituents and fellow elected officials have been left reeling as a result, demanding answers about his undisclosed whereabouts.

Although Gianforte has taken to social media to provide frequent updates since the flooding in southwest Montana first began, questions began swirling after some noticed he had not been seen in person at official briefings — or anywhere else. His office has kept mum about his exact location.

Gianforte has described coordinated response efforts, such as mobilizing the Montana National Guard and securing a major disaster declaration from President Biden, over Twitter. However, he has yet to address his physical location during the crisis.

No? Then he’s worse than Cruz.

Did he have involvement with the coup? These people are hot garbage, as my grandgirl would say.

Maybe he was on the Appalachian Trail as well. Sanford was actually chasing Argentinian Tail. Might be a thing for GOP governors.

I don't begrudge anyone a vacation. And if you're a higher up government official, you're never really on vacation. You're constantly conducting business wherever you are.

But when there's an emergency, being an in-person presence is just part of the deal. You cut it short and come back. The end.

"Let's just see how this unfolds. If it's not too bad, we can still make that wine tour."

That sounds like something I would do. This is why I'm not in office.

Even presidents on vacation keep a close contact to things. It’s a good thing he was in touch with President Biden through this. Plus national guard.

Even many of his staff didn't know where he was. He was seemingly completely off grid.

There was a minor kerfuffle with Gavin Newsom last fall. He just kind of disappeared for two weeks, and the media eventually noticed. But there was a working assumption that he was still getting his stuff done.

First class bully and maggot. He will do nothing to help the people of Montana. But I blame the people of Montana for being so gullible to vote on that fool.

That's all it takes, and punching that Libtard reporter endeared him to wide swaths of sparsely-populated Montucky.

Two elected offices so far and he's done nothing for us nor does he intend to. He's trying to decide where he's going to hide when the seditionist sweep comes around.
