Media twisting themselves into a pretzel : "But was there a crime committed?"
There was an attempted overthrow of our government and Congressional leaders were threatened to be pulled out of the Capitol by the hair of their head. The Capitol was assaulted by a mob of supporters of Donald J Trump. People were severely injured and some died. And the media ask, "Was there a crime committed?"
The former president of the United States incited a mob to attack our Capitol and many of them said that on live TV. They were ready to drag Mike Pence "thru the streets" if he betrayed Donald Trump. They were looking to murder people. And the media ask, "Was there a crime committed?"
They conspired within the Oval Office to steal the election by asking state officials to find votes when the votes did not exist. And they conspired to send fake electors to vote for Donald Trump, even though he did not win the majority of votes in the states. He intimidated and threatened people over the phone, with witnesses, to perform illegal acts so he could remain in office. And the media ask, "Was there a crime committed?"
The former president lied to the American people about how he "won the election by a landslide". Even after he was told by his Atty-General, numerous aids and associates and officials of the government, he continued to lie. He invited criminally-inclined groups to come to Washington DC on January 6th and promised them that it would be "wild". He then incited them to march on our Capitol on that day, the very day that we were to count the electoral votes to declare the next president of the United States. He refused to stop the attack upon the Capitol of our nation and the media ask, "Was there a crime committed?"

And his supporters engaged in such protest?
He nor the protesters would have survived the day.
Some in the media remain complicit. For whatever their reasons….
