Republicans want to amend the constitution so state laws supercede federal laws when there's no interstate issue, among other ideas, like essentially eliminating the FEC, FTC, Departments of Education, Housing and Health... all domestic federal governance, more or less.

“Convention of the States”

Y’all understand what that means, yes?

It's basically a license for state legislatures to create their own little tiny nations where the rights of individuals will radically differ state to state depending on political... or more aptly put in most cases... religious ideology. This is the so-called "Texas Plan"

could take effect?

I still believe that Ds are missing an opportunity to not produce political ads that are similar to the J6 hearings. Ads explaining that if TX repubs intention to enact any of what they've proposed then "x" and "x" will disappear in TX, meaning the citizens in the state of TX will be left on their own for health care $$, education $$, $$ to repair the electric grid, etc.

And I don't know where we could go. Our state "legislators" are a joke, however, this isn't funny or a joke unfortunately.

Plus Texas has proxy voting where if you aren't there to cast a vote, for a Bill, someone else can do so for you. Talk about representation!
