Lous DeJoy is still fucking up the U.S. Postal Service

Trump appointed this prick to be Postmaster General. His job was to privatize the United States Postal Service.

Joe Biden can't fire him. He can only be fired by a board that oversees the postal service.

So, a year and a half after TFG is gone, his stench still clings to one of the most basic functions of government.

I don't know if you're experiencing the same problem with USPS packages that I am, but rarely does any package arrive on time. My mail carrier is a wonderful woman who sees the problem first hand, has some people blaming her, yet, she (and everyone else who works in the USPS) knows what the problem is and can do nothing about it.

Our first Postmaster General was Benjamin Franklin. That this DeJoy creature is occupying that position, and trying to destroy what he has been entrusted with, is criminal. Hopefully, some day, DeJoy will have a cell near Trump's.

The board even new members may like him and understand his grand vision. Who knows.

He destroyed mail sorting machines worth millions of dollars in favor of slower, hand sorting.

He should show the cost/benefit analysis for that decision.

DeJoy makes money from mail carrying contracts.

It was sent on May 27, received on June 14, due on June 27. For many people, such slow service may mean that health insurance premium payments are late, through no fault of their own.

I suspect that you're right, and that service this bad is due to DeJoy's sabotage. I think the idea is to inflict enough pain and problems on people to get them to support privatization of the Postal Service.

"Ben was known as an excellent trouble-shooter and could figure out solutions when things went wrong. Having the idea of putting mail riders on the roads at night, Franklin cut the delivery time for a letter from Philadelphia to New York, as well as receiving a reply, to just 24 hours.

I was a postal worker. I remember the Board of Governors and other postal executives blaming our unions and "too-generous" pay raises on why the USPS was in financial trouble...

All while the union was documenting and trying to publicize how the big wigs were riding around DC in limos and having lunches at the top restaurants, and traveling all over the country to "investigate operations first-hand at post offices around the country (read: Boca, Beverly Hills, Long Island, Hilton Head)." All comped with USPS dollars.

They don't give a shit about anything regarding the USPS or its operations, only what they can get out of it for themselves.

Whenever the haves can fuck the have nots, they will. This has been true throughout human history.

But you just gotta' love the tons of bullshit the enablers/abettors and/or deniers come up with. There's no crap they won't throw at you. And "they" includes a few members of our forum who are either deluded, or profiting in some way.

Whatever the nature of "reasons" for high gas prices, understand this. You. Are. Being. Fucked. Every. Day. Of. Your. Life.

And if he can't fire the board, fire the people that select the board? And if we can't fire those people, then fire the people that select those people.

Surely something can be done.

Trump shouldn't be allowed to continue running things.

So he can't fire himself. The Board members have staggered terms but Biden has appointed at least five of them. There is no evidence that any of them want a change in leadership.

worthless service now. I won't even use it, I use UPS or FedEx only.
I've had stuff send and received from TX that took over 25 days, it will sit in sort facilities for days and days before it even moves. I've seen my shipments sit in a single facility for 13 days before.
For an extra couple of bucks, I can get reliable elsewhere.
It's a shame, I used to use USPS exclusively. Now I wouldn't trust them to get junk mail from one place to another in a timely fashion.

I ordered something on April 16, sent to my PO Box. The company used FedEx Ground, which is supposed to take about 10 business days.

I got it seven weeks later.
