Homes burn to the ground after Pride flag set on fire: 'Hate has been unleashed in this country'

Four homes have burned to the ground leaving three people in hospital after “violent anti-LGBTQ+” thugs set fire to a Pride flag.

The fire was set by the assailants on Wednesday morning (15 June) in Baltimore, Maryland, with three of the hospitalised said to have arrived in a critical condition.

wo of the injured have since been released from hospital with the final patient being upgraded to ‘stable’ after all three were treated in the shock trauma unit, according to CBS News reporter Mike Hellgren.

Authorities attended the scene in the 300 block of E. 31st Street where two separate incidents of arson took place. One where a Pride flag was set on fire and another across the street where a home adorned with Pride decorations was similarly ablaze.

The hate for us is growing rapidly to these freaks. Give it time before another Pulse shooting or something close happens. Only a matter of time before a number of my tribe is killed due to this hate. Please any of my LGBTQ lovelies here. Get personal protection and train. We cannot be a statistic

"Gays can't reproduce so they recruit", "Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve" were two of her most used comments.

Here in Detroit the Woodward, a well known landmark gay bar that has been around for 75 years was burned to the ground. It was closed and during the day. It is suspected to be arson, and it is certainly possible it could have been done for insurance reasons, but I think it's likely it was a hate crime.

The big difference between now and the seventies is of course social media. So much easier to spread hatred and radicalize people now.

And that it doesn't happen more often. Even then, they wanted more blood. Now it's totally out of control.

Thank you so much for the QOP for cranking things up this high on us in 2022. And of course, the reich-wing hate media machine has been working overtime to do their part.

I really do fear we are going to have an attack that results in a higher death count than what we saw at The Pulse a few years ago.

Despite that, some of them were even fine with the shooter being a Muslim, and still wanted him to kill more. Because as much as they hate Muslims, they hate LGBTQ's even worse.

Ever since I first heard of Florida's Don't Say Gay bullshit and all the book banning, I was afraid we were regressing back to the seventies. We had all better strap ourselves in and watch each other's backs, it's only going to get worse the closer we get to the mid-terms and 2024.

Ever since DeSatan's "Don't Be Gay" bullshit, followed by throwing around the term "groomers." I anticipated a dicey and tense Pride month, but nothing like this - Idaho, death threats, candidates calling for us to be shot or executed. It's gotten ugly at a frightening pace.

We're regressing back to the 70's and even further beyond, sadly. I expect a very ugly fall, and then a huge increase in the ugliness heading into 2024.

You're so right - we all better strap in, watch each other's backs and be there for each other.

Trump is a useful idiot for the Murdochs. They used him because he's good for ratings. When they no longer need him, they will cast him aside like yesterday's newspaper. The next president they get, guaranteed will do the Murdoch's every evil bidding and they probably will go full Nazi. Florida, Texas and Ohio are already test markets.

up. People are big on nostalgia of the '50s right now. But the truth is awful. Awful things happened in the 50s and '60s. And those people covered it all up with their silence.

I was in elementary school in the '50s so I remember. My parents were pretty typical for those times. They had come through the depression and WWII. They were experts on not seeing things. Don't make waves. And so all kinds of abuse went on all around us and no one ever saw a thing.

The other "party" stands for death.

That message needs to be delivered loudly and clearly in campaigns and debates, all across the country, all the way up until November.

The Democratic Party is the party of life.

The Republiqan Terrorist Organization is now the party of death.

I'm wondering if it's realistic to sue their asses for all the hate they've spewed and violence they've incited this year. Yes, yes, I know. The courts have ruled they don't have to tell the truth. But we're past lying and now have them inciting hate and violence.

These people feel entitled to act upon their hate, commit acts of violence, make terrorist threats and... well, behave like terrorists. We've gone well beyond going online and bashing LGBTQ's or gleefully voting for shit like Prop 8. They now think it's fine to terrorize people into hiding or kill them.

These thugs need to have the book thrown at them. Arson. Attempted murder. Hate crimes. Domestic terrorism. You name it. They can rot in prison for all I care. The only reason we have "three people in the hospital" and not in the morgue is blind fucking luck.

They want their damned freedom. They wouldn't like it very much if we stepped onto their property to set their stupid Drumpf/Dunce flags on fire. They sure as hell wouldn't want us menacing and threatening them because they don't like Biden. But, that's right. Freedom for thee, not for me. We're not even people anyway.

These bastards need to prosecuted to the full extent of the law and receive maximum sentences if convicted. Maybe if enough of these Nazi incels spend years or decades in prison, it'll deliver a message: No. You cannot commit hate crimes and terrorize people.

their neighborhoods across the nation, renegades setting fires just because they can, militants doing it to disrupt the enemy, etc.

I've thought for a long time that civil war in the climate crisis era of giant, widespread populations would most likely be known for fire. Civil warring would disrupt the institutions and infrastructure that currently fight fire, including water delivery.

Hundreds of millions live in the hot, drier climates where wildfires already rage on their own, but almost all Americans live in what have now become high fire risk areas, like here in forested Georgia. Many fires would rage out of control, taking out not just whole neighborhoods, but whole geographic areas and whatever is in them.
