The KNOW how stupid their base is, with limited (mostly very limited) critical thinking skills, never mind just understanding words. Heh.

2. Joe should let all drugs come across the border so Republicans can't attack him by pointing out

the thousands of pounds seized. He could claim total success on the war on drugs. That would make as much sense as this GOP stupidity.

4. On the one hand, this does sound stupid, but ...

Statistically-speaking, 'seizures' are quite likely to represent only a certain % of the total population of drugs being smuggled in.

It's fairly reasonable to suppose that high amounts of seizures also means high amounts are getting through.

However, OTOH, there is no real way of knowing WHAT % of the total the seizures represent.

It may also be reasonable to suppose the numbers are high because enforcement was highly efficient.

Therefore the main 'crime' here is stating it with such certainty (IS allowing? Maybe, but not necessarily!).
