Why the Jan 6 Committee may be reluctant to provide DOJ with their findings...Any ideas?

Could be they fear leaks from the DOJ, or worse a Trump sympathizer passing on the information to Trump. However, the DOJ has been leak-proof since Garland took over as AG. So, if it's not that what is it?

The committee is laying out a substantial case in a planned order. They don't want that interrupted.

Again, just my opinion. I can't think of another reason.

Also, they need to be be done by Jan of next year. The DOJ has till 2024.

They want to finish the hearings first. Then they will fully cooperate with the DOJ. That is very reasonable. Nothing wrong with it.

It was reported here from various sources.

They haven’t provided everything, of course, but the process has started.

this is a little bit of Kabuki between the DOJ and the Committee so that it throws off any accusations of the Committee and the DOJ being in bed politically. JMHO

and Biden went w/that conclusion, so that Garland won't prosecute & the Committee, whatever they do at the end, won't paint him into a corner to do it

time will tell

To investigate and report upon the facts, circumstances, and causes relating to the January 6, 2021, domestic terrorist attack upon the United States Capitol Complex (hereafter referred to as the “domestic terrorist attack on the Capitol”) and relating to the interference with the peaceful transfer of power, including facts and causes relating to the preparedness and response of the United States Capitol Police and other Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies in the National Capital Region and other instrumentalities of government, as well as the influencing factors that fomented such an attack on American representative democracy while engaged in a constitutional process.

Think of the proud boys prosecution filing a few days ago. They let the court know that they needed more time because some transcripts wouldn’t be available until the committee released them.

Those documents probably would be public now. We won’t know if that’s a big deal until we see them
