Well, try as we did I still tested positive this morning

Dammit! I guess anger is the first stage. I’m f’ing pissed.
Daughter tested positive last Friday. My wife positive on this Friday and has had a horrible weekend. We have an at home medical service coming by today.

We have a deposit on a beach rental for next week and I’m not sure if we can get back. We were to share with another family - old friends. AND I’ve got a butt load of work to do - doing 2 jobs now due to someone leaving our organization.

I spent all weekend outside in the porch or just not in the house to let my wife come downstairs and not be stuck in the bedroom. Literally 10-5 both days.

Last night
This morning
Again this morning- fainter but still positive.
No symptoms for me, yet.

We just finished with it around here. For both my wife and i, the positive lines got more faint as we got better, so if yours are fading it's possible you'll be negative in a day or 2. Be well.

you're not getting false positives. PCR is more accurate than the home tests.

He has three positives with known exposure. He has COVID. Full stop.

He shouldn't waste time or resources for a PCR test. Only reason would be to have a record for future insurance needs or just for public health record keeping, but a doctor can chart that in a 10 minute tele-visit.

No need for PCR in this case.

3 false positives should not happen. The OP has Covid. A PCR at this point would not bring anything new in the picture. Keep a close eye on everyone and get the antiviral if your Doc thinks you can or should.

Be well

False positives are possible 3 times. Possible. Especially with the home tests. I agree, ask a real doctor and they'll probably concur.

I asked about this when my husband tested positive. I was wondering if we should retest, but our doctor said to assume he had covid due to the rarity of false positives.

Nothing costs me anything until July anyway. Two surgeries this year which were really cheap but we hit our OOP Max a few months ago. As a family (mostly me) we’ve had $68,000 in services this year. One of my surgeries was $28K and I paid $125.

I had covid twice. Original flavor and Omicron.

Omicron I was vaxed and boosted and it wasn’t bad at all and I was testing neg 8 think 7 days after but I hadn’t tested any earlier than that. Also the quarantine time was way shorter too and I feel like having been vaxed and boosted that made sense.

However it works out for you, hope you get past it quickly and get to return to normal life soon!

If I don’t develop symptoms I may let my family go first and meet them there a few days later.

Our friends were supposed to stay here Saturday night but we’ve decided against that.

are both ill with Covid. Both have been vaxed and boosted times four. The grandson works in a restaurant and his boss was in South America for two weeks and came home last week with a bad cold or symptoms resembling. That’s how they believe they got it.

Unavoidable as literally everyone there seemed to have it. Don't believe official numbers these days just about anywhere.

I started getting into bad cold mode, but took Zithromax which totally seemed to kick its a$$. At least it didn't kick into any secondary issues.

It’s really a great service. Their ads say they even do X-rays now.

Vitamin D and C twice a day
Zinc - I’ve been taking each of these everyday
Lots of water. Electro lites if we get vomiting sick
Mucinex
A steroid and antibiotics for my wife
Melatonin
I’m not sure what else they may have subscribed

Plus famotidine helps with any stomach components to the illness if you have any.

Keep the famotidine up for at least a month in case long Covid kicks in

Other than that, just check your O2 level periodically.

I had very little cough, but I had Covid pneumonia that nearly took me out when my oxygen crashes to the ground
