There are many Republicans willing to tell Democrats what they need to do to defeat Trump but there are very few willing to do anything about it themselves.
The minimum expectation from any Republican would be that "the election was not stolen" and that Donald Trump is not being honest in his pronouncements. But, we cannot even get that.
The Democrats are left alone to defend democracy. The Republicans only strategy seems to be the code of silence?
The sad truth is that the Democrats cannot save this country or this democracy all by themselves. They need the assistance of all Americans.
The people can only conclude that they remain silent because they are complicit or they are not interested in saving our democracy?
If Republicans truly care about this country, it is time they did something about this "clear and present danger" they have created for America, and stop looking for Democrats to save them from disgrace.

And I think democracy will survive.
There are a whole lot of degrading and negative articles and corporate polls against Democrats. Maybe I'm missing something from corporate media, but it's always total shit talk about Democrats which is basically towards the head of the party, Pres. B and Vice Pres. H, but I find very little talk about how the GQPs are fighting among themselves and that it appears they are in disarray.

(43,044 posts)There is no upside for MAGA from here, no new pool of converts, and sloughing off of the infirm and battle-weary. There is downside for Democrats as incumbents tied to the economy. We can win this by holding the Presidency or one chamber of Congress at all times. I don't like our chances but it's surely not impossible.

(2,248 posts)Republicans want an autocracy. "Strong men" who make uniltareal decisions without all that pesky concensus building or checks and balances of a minority opposition. They are OVER having to weigh the feelings and opinions of the larger electorate.
Democrats advocate a democracy. a person who believes in the political or social equality of all people.
It's a fight now for how we want to be goverened. It's that back-and-white.
