who commit mass murders.

A post ahead of mine said that Hogg forgot to mention the massacre in Uvalde and the response was that we don't know that the Texas shootings were racist. (But we do know. They weren't.)

I simply pointed out that, although the Texas shooting was not racism, Buffalo, just a week and a half earlier than Texas, was.

it is all about mental health and not terrorism -- or even guns for that matter?

Don't get me wrong. I like Hogg.

Call it for what it is: domestic terrorism, no different in intent that the Oklahoma City bombing back in 1995. We were shocked then by the hate, the willingness to inflict great bodily harm to innocents by Timothy McVeigh and his group of white supremacists.

We all need to resurrect those feelings of anger and disgust for those who would follow in McVeigh's footsteps.

Terrorism. Call it for what it is.

republican white nationalist supporters can't win elections without rw radio. americans let republicans (and putin) use a few hundred racist liars on 1500 coordinated radio stations to crank up the racism and bigotry constantly, all over the country. and it's all FREE for them paid for by advertisers and endorsed by universities and pro sports teams. it's fucking ridiculous.

For these people "terrorists" are swarthy men with funny names from middle eastern countries, "domestic terrorists" are true patriots fighting for freedom, to "make America great again." I imagine Hogg wants to erase that distinction.

so maybe more whites should support gun restrictions. We don't know who is going to shoot up a school until it's too late.

If airline transportation has to suck for brown people "because of security", then buying guns should be a bit more restrictive "because of security".

If any DUers feel uncomfortable with this, that's the point.

Btw, definitions of domestic terrorism vary, including from state to state. Here's the federal definition. It differentiates terrorist acts from other violent actions by specific intent of the act. Killing people ONLY to indulge spite wouldn't be classified as terrorism under federal law, but killing to persuade survivors to close their church or encourage others to kill probably would be.

Intimidate. Coerce. Influence policy. Affect conduct.

ACLU: Section 802 of the USA PATRIOT Act (Pub. L. No. 107-52) expanded the definition of terrorism to cover ""domestic,"" as opposed to international, terrorism.

A person engages in domestic terrorism if they do an act "dangerous to human life" that is a violation of the criminal laws of a state or the United States, if the act appears to be intended to: (i) intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination or kidnapping. Additionally, the acts have to occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the United States and if they do not, may be regarded as international terrorism.

YES. It's TERRORISM. Of the worst home-grown kind.

White Nationalist trump-supporting DOMESTIC TERRORISM.

Or hell, just leave the "DOMESTIC" part out.

White Nationalist trump-supporting TERRORISM.

Either one works and is totally valid.

The white nationalist terrorists absolve themselves of any culpability by deeming all accusations as political.

Our media is deathly afraid to take a side in a political debate.
