(38,930 posts)win he won't charge him. Can you imagine if he goes in trial and wins. He will be strutting around claiming it was a witch hunt. On second thought he will claim that either way.
But, if we see the DOJ move to indict, we will know that Garland has got him. I think that we need to do it regardless of whether we can win, because history has to show that we were not faint hearted in the face of this threat to our Democracy.
If we do nothing, we are wimps. The American people need to see the DOJ stand up to Trump. I am not worried about the timeline. Things worth doing take time, and a careful prosecutor nails down the facts.

just think if nixon had been prosecuted. wouldn't life be different and better? I think it would. It was a bullshit argument then and it's a bullshit argument now.
