Woah! Mick Mulvaney giving advice to the Jan. 6th Committee. Thanks Mick.

Compelling testimony today regarding how Trump lost the election. Judging by the ratings (and FB comments) people who need to see that aren't watching.
If the Committee wants to change minds, they need to reach people who think Trump won.
That doesn't seem to be happening.

1. It is surprising how many people think the Committee is attempting to prove Trump won the election

They don't seem to understand that is not the point here.

I think it was always going to be a challenge to reach the people who really need to see the hearings. The hope that this would be must-see TV on the scale of Watergate might have been a bit optimistic.

Sure, Mick could go on Fox, et al, and speak up, but would those people really listen? They're getting bombarded with Tucker and friends either ignoring the hearings entirely or intentionally misrepresenting everything that happens.

I'm not sure what the solution is.

5. Did we really think that these trump nuts would ever listen to reason, to the evidence, to anything?

No, IMHO.

But an ever-growing percentage of Americans are getting shocked at the depths, the energy, etc. that tRUMP, instead of being president and doing presidential things, was intent on figuring out ways to break the law, regardless of the results of the election.

And he was breaking the law while playing golf too during this time (over 300 times). What then, was the F**k was he even doing in office?

What a pathetic, measly, and mean-spirited man/coward.

I am also starting to agree w/ DUer's remarks that Bill Barr, and others should have been more involved (and more republican legislators too), all of whom were AWOL during this god-awful period that the Country was going through.

because they would just close their eyes and ears and shout "fake news." They are brainwashed and gaslit.

They’re doing everything they can to avoid the hearings. If trump confessed I don’t think they’d believe it. They’d think someone forced him to do so. They’d easily move on to desantis.
