That motherfucker singled out specific citizens doing their jobs and sicced the mob on them. A woman who loved to help old people vote and her mother will never be the same ever again. They live in fear even now. They've been terrorized.
Charge him as a terrorist.

Politically, though, it carries no weight and frankly would cast a shadow on the other, more provable, charges.

I think many are confusing treason, which this is clearly not, with sedition, which it almost certainly is.
If the Rosenbergs couldn't meet the bar, Trump certainly doesn't.

Kirschner argues that many constitutional scholars get caught up in the second of the two manners to commit the crime: "adhering to their Enemies", and not the first: "Levying war against (the United States).
Once Trump realized he had lost the election, he nevertheless persisted in pursuing a coup against the government he ostensibly led.
Kirschner says it better. I'm not saying that I think it's viable, but it adds flavor in discussions that many times overlook the actual verbiage.
