Thank you, Germany

and the Netherlands, for sending 155mm howitzers to Ukraine. We are mindful of the position your country is in, and still you step up. Thank you!

1. Nowhere near enough

Germany should be a major power- it is economically the leader there- and Germany needs to increase its military preparedness, as well as giving more heavy weapons.

3. Like Japan, after WW2, they were encouraged to have reduced military and be pacifist ...

both internally and externally. They then became essentially dependent fully on the US for protection. Since the Cold War ended, few of the European countries have really armed up, expecting that interaction and investment would prevent Russia from being, well, Russia. Bad decision in hindsight, but we are where we are now, at least they are finally stepping up, even though it's taken a lot of pressure.

4. Germany is supplying something invaluable .... RIS-T SLM air defense systems.

IRIS-T SL Surface-to-Air Guided Missile

The IRIS-T SL (Surface Launched) is a new, mobile, medium-range surface-to-air guided missile designed and developed by Diehl BGT Defence to meet future medium-range air defence needs of the German Air Force.

The new missile is effective against all types of aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, guided weapons, air-to-surface missiles, anti-ship missiles, anti-radar rockets and large-calibre rockets. It also has high probability of kill against unmanned aerial vehicles, unmanned combat aerial vehicles and other small manoeuvring threats at very-short and medium-range distances.

5. So many foreigners know just what Germany needs to do

Stop and think where Germany was 90 years ago, or even 80 years ago. After World War II, Germany vowed to never again be involved in a war. They joined NATO and re-armed at our behest, but basically they are now the pacifist nation that their neighbors hoped they would finally become. Yes, they need to make their decisions quicker, but letís not have them get too high on weapons again. No one wants to give them a chance to re-acquire a taste for using them.

7. You know how Germany could have helped more?

They could have not continued to block Ukraine membership in NATO.

11. They have also not sent a lot of equipment they promised, with all sorts of excuses why they

have not sent yet. There is something going on their and I think it is the relationship with the new chancellor and Putin. Scholz has a pretty shady past and couple that with the previous chancellor before Merkle, Schroeder who is on the board for Russian oil pipeline, Nordstream. I am extremely unimpressed with the stalling that has gone on with Germany.

to hate on Germany, when they just sent some stuff that is much needed by Ukraine.

17. I don't know why they did that.

Hindsight is always better; wasn't everyone reassured that Putin would not invade Ukraine?

Also, let's ask Turkey why they want to deny Sweden and Finland membership in NATO. That's a bigger problem, IMO.
