Ron Johnson looked scared when the reporters were trying to catch him to ask him a question about the fake electors.
I'm sure he is not the only one. The truth is gradually coming out and they cannot handle the truth. It makes them look guilty.
They were silent and complicit in a crime - a crime to overturn an election and to install their own dictator into power. Now they fear being discovered.
If they were not afraid, they would proudly step forward and announce what they did and why they did it? We are not seeing that.
There's a sense of desperation in their voices as they try to minimize the attempted coup as a "non-story". For them, it is a "non-story".
What they fear is that many Americans, including Republicans, do not see it as the trivial matter which they attempt to portray.
I think a few of them may be running scared.

(46,032 posts)The base is nowhere near a majority of people in the country. They may own some states, where no Dem can get elected, but others, like Wisconsin, can be convinced. Ron Johnson was already on shaky ground. This is not helping him. If the outrage over the treatment of Ms. Moss and her mother and grandmother continues into the fall, it may get some folks to vote who wouldn't have bothered otherwise.
So, certainly, not all Republicans are scared, but I think some are.

(8,711 posts)I am sick of the ones testifying talking about looking to god to not follow trumps orders. The one that claimed he pulled out his pocket BuyBull and referred to Daniel for guidance. And yesterdays, with the Arizona rep in tears talking about God leading him. And after, saying he would still vote for trump🤬 What did God and the BuyBull tell em about staying silent for over a year until shit started hitting the fan?
Did Jesus keep quite about sins and sinners to not rile up his base, and keep his power, and only spoke out if God came down in him?
No leniency for pretending to be a good Christians. Treason is treason, accomplices are accomplices, face the consequences.
