(94,499 posts)Are you saying that the investigation of Hunter Biden is being done without the approval of AG Garland and Biden's US Attorneys?
Add to which, there's no politician named in the ad, so there's no threat to investigate.

EvilGelicals really make me want to believe the old saying: "The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.
Cuz they sure seem like the Devil on Earth to me.

(11,730 posts)To understand it, you need to stop looking at it logically and look at it from the emotional perspective of people who have been told for the last 40 years that the America they know and love, has been infiltrated by people who are not like them, who want to destroy all of the values they cherish, and who literally want to replace them and subjugate them.
If they are Republican/Conservative, then they are likely getting their news from Fox, right wing radio, or internet sources. The above message is repeated daily on those outlets.
They are willing to accept disgraced politicians who had to resign, or who have been kicked off all committees, or who are being investigated for sex trafficking of minors; so long as those candidates protect them from the "scary people" who want to destroy America.

(1,292 posts)Add to that peer pressure, which to me is one of the most powerful influencers out there.
When coupled with social media, which gives one the ability to hang out ONLINE as well as in person with those who believe not only as they do but make them feel wanted and part of a larger picture, it's becoming a scary world out there.

(10,154 posts)There's one for the the filthy rich and their tools, then there's the one for the rest of us. The filthy rich never face the natural consequences of their actions. They hide behind their money. While the rest of us face our own consequences regardless. But we also face the consequences of having absolute idiots as tools for the filthy rich.
Hunting down politicians isn't about freedom of speech, it's about encouraging violence against politicians you don't like. The GOP can no longet have logical debates with the other side because they have moved themselves to crazytown..so they have to revert to violence as their last refuge.
