It's possible he'll testify. That would not be a good development for the former guy.

Patrick Byrne responds to Liz Cheney’s request for WH Counsel Pat Cipollone to testify: “I’m out here! I’ll testify live, under oath, no lawyer. Call me .. If you want Cipollone to testify about the conversation I was in, I’ll come and tell you the whole thing.”
