But gas at the station I frequent most is down 5 cents per gallon.
Just an anecdote, I know, but the first decrease in a very long time. And I live in red country.
But the pundies are making lots of money throwing their arms around shrieking about recession, so...
I am reminded of an economic phrase from one of my favorite movies, "all will be well in the garden."

(3,370 posts)Looks like most in the immediate area are down between 7 and 15 cents. I am in the Philly burbs. A lot of stations here flirted with $5.00 and above for a few days, but have gone back to $4.99 and below since last week.
