I guess if they got away with it and Pence went along, they could count on a pardon from Orange Man. Bad bet places apparently.

These are the photos of when they tried to deliver their fake slate and the cop wouldn’t let them in.

Would love to see their faces when served.

This is the way it has to go down. The committee is bi-partisan. They had to make it look like the committee is forcing the DOJ's hand. In that way it is necessary theater. It removes a whole lot of stigma that the DOJ is politicized. If the DOJ looks as thoughit didn't want to act but had to because of what the committee revealed it gives the DOJ cover. In my opinion this was ALWAYS the way this was going to go down and I think they are doing a fantastic job at choreographing this.

own personal wishes.

I'd just like to point out that your phrase "they are doing a fantastic job at choreographing this" only applies to the J6 committee. It does not mean that the committee is acting in concert with the DOJ.

And just in case, welcome and please keep on commenting!

But then again it very well could be. I just personally find it difficult to believe that there isn't some communication between the two on some level. And The J6 committee's job being to show the public what happened seems like a really good way to get the public to back a doj action or if not back it, to break it to the public that a DOJ action will probably be coming down the line.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I post over on reddit /politics a fair amount and admittedly it gets rough over there sometimes. I eed to make sure and keep my cool here it seems. I have read here a lot but this is a great forum.

But rather the committee is exposing crimes that DOJ can’t ignore.

happen to uncover various facts at the same or different times.

In science and other endeavors, discoveries seem to happen in multiple places in roughly the same time frame. Some common knowledge and environment is normal.

I still don't think the DOJ is being triggered by the committee - rather that there is a good reason for these things to happen at this moment.

Maybe 2 or 3 hundred book authors will shed light on this in the next few years. If there are still books....

There's so much money floating around out there that fines, or even disbarment or loss of jobs, won't make a mark. Make them pay a real price.
