I live in Houston, Champions Forest ... a little north of the city, and there is no where a racist can go. No where.

Houston is one of the most diverse cities in the country.

I cannot think of a single place I regularly go to that does not have a minority working there.

Tolerance for that type of shit runs low, start spewing racist garbage in pretty much any establishment and you will be called on it fairly quickly.

8. Hard for me to grasp such levels of personal bitterness

and then I realize that to a lesser degree, I see it everyday: low-level fuming road rages, public temper tantrums by adults, hostile responses coming from a lack of self-control, etc.

And I think to myself, we have become a weak-willed people, feebly and blindly lashing out without a sense of shame. I often believe this is a partial draft of what our culture has become.

I see it in people too. It's like you can feel the vibes coming off them of some low-level fuming rage going on inside of them. They're not always the ones like this guy - out in the open and vocal for anyone and everyone to see. Oftentimes, they're the "nice guy next door who seems like he'd do anything for you" type.

They have to hurt someone to make themselves feel superior, but on the inside what they're really feeling is insecure and inferior.
