And the stunning testimony by DOJ senior staff at the 1/6 hearings yesterday makes Garland's lack of action look that much worse. Wrong man for the job.

And you don't know for sure whether it's "5 or 10 years from now," or tomorrow, or next week, or whatever.

Many of us, myself included, are troubled that the DoJ level of action and speed of action doesn't reflect the gravity of the danger that we face, and that the DoJ shows a great deal of reluctance to charge those highest up in the food chain until ridiculous (and perhaps unrealistic) levels of evidence exist.

I'm hoping that's beginning to change, but damage has already been done because slow action has allowed the November elections to draw so close that many of the conspirators have had the time and freedom to continue the coup and continue to weaken our democracy.

If Republicans gain either the House or the Senate in November, and worse if they gain both, it's pretty damned unlikely that they'll ever recognized a Democrat winning the presidency ever again.
