NEW YORK (AP) Federal agents raided Rudy Giulianis Manhattan home and office Wednesday, seizing computers and cellphones in a major escalation of the Justice Departments investigation into the business dealings of former President Donald Trumps personal lawyer.
Giuliani, the 76-year-old former New York City mayor once celebrated for his leadership after 9/11, has been under federal scrutiny for several years over his ties to Ukraine. The dual searches sent the strongest signal yet that he could eventually face federal charges.
Agents searched Giulianis Madison Avenue apartment and Park Avenue office, people familiar with the investigation told The Associated Press. The warrants, which required approval from the top levels of the Justice Department, signify that prosecutors believe they have probable cause that Giuliani committed a federal crime though they do not guarantee that charges will materialize.

Maybe this will happen. But too damn late.

(232 posts)To post something more than a year old as current news is really irresponsible to those of us who happily rely on DU to get brief news snippets to stay up to date on things.
If your intent was to imply that he'll be indicted any day now, that should have been in your headline. Please take care to honor your fellow DU'ers by posting relevant news because anything less is clickbait and as for me personally, that's insulting my intelligence and wasting my valuable time.
I'm sorry if that comes across as harsh.

(1,269 posts)This a great reminder of how the DOJ miss handles investigations.
And Rudy is going to court to have his devices returned because of lack of action by the DOJ.
