The recent court decisions will be a big factor for a lot of people this November. A clarion call to all people of good will.

I'd never suggest appropriating the idiocy of the right wing, but if ever a time was ripe to reuse their little temper tantrums of "legislating from the bench!|" "judicial activism!" this seems that time.

No. From you today, though, every post I see, boo hiss boo hiss. It's all fucked. Why bother?

You seem to blame the US people for things the Republicans are doing. Over 80% of this country wants some gun control, and so do Dems, but it's the GOP that keeps blocking it. But you are blaming the American people for things that the GOP is doing. It is wrong and annoying. I see it all the time.

Go ahead, spout all the negativity you want. You seem to get off on it.

Are you going to do anything to help reverse this stupid SCOTUS decision? Just sit there and moan and groan about how stupid people are? Do you think that is helpful? Do you care to be helpful?

Look, I'm sorry I jumped your shit, but I see so much of this on this board, sometimes I lash out at it.

I don't see any way to reverse this SCOTUS decision for many, many years.

The Dems are unlikely to take the State House, and the State Senate is a long shot. And in Michigan, there is no fillabuster, so a simple majority passes law that a governor can sign. Without Whitmer, the loons in the state Congress would pass a law making all abortions illegal in a millisecond.

Trump backers tweet #repealthe19th after polls show he'd win if only men voted

As polls show that Donald Trump would overwhelmingly win if only men were allowed to vote, the GOP nominee's supporters have spawned a new Twitter hashtag: #repealthe19th.

That’s a reference to the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote.

They have asserted their dominion over women's bodies. Gay people are next.

What would stop them from overturning an election? They already flexed their power to stop a recount in Bush v. Gore.

This is a terrifying time. Everything is at stake, and yet the outcome is left in the hands of the people who will use their power as a king would.

They are religious zealots who believe themselves to be divinely inspired.

Welcome to the reign of religious terror.

I'm going to use the Dover PA School Board as an example. These off-year, local elections usually have light turnout. Because of that creationists were able to take majority control of the board and institute creationist-centered science curriculum. That went to court where a federal judge ruled for the plantiffs who objected to the creationist curriculum. Once the voters woke up, at the next election, all the creationists on the school board were voted out and another resigned.

Now that Americans, particularly women have been awakened, I think they will vote with a vengence in November.
