The US is already experiencing a labor shortage. Now, with the Roe v Wade ruling, women of child bearing years will be taken out of the work force. They will not be able to obtain contraception; therefore, cannot family plan around a job or a career.

I remember those times, and it is not good for women.

It is about putting women in their place, that is, subjugated to men.

Got to think about the long term. It might have been a few years off, but we have headed for Soylent Green.

(1,573 posts)Keep women home and men make more money because women have to take time off to have a baby. This ruling will lead to other rulings now, such as birth control (will it include condoms?) (and the little blue pill?). How about that abortion pill? I imagine women will be turning off to sex after this, and rightly so. No one should be telling any woman what to do with her body.

(576 posts)I just heard a woman on the radio say that she's so upset about Roe v Wade that she wants to get a voluntary hysterectomy and march her uterus right over to SCOTUS. Then she wondered if this procedure will also be criminalized.
That would be a huge step. Especially since we now have Miss 1950s on the Supreme Court now.
