Biden refusing to allow Supreme Court decision to turn into a Friday news dump day.

He's on now rattling the saber. So far, he's officially declaring open season for campaigning for November. Vote for Democrats. Pro-choice is on the ballot.

GOOD NEWS: He's going to fight against any States that try to interfere with women traveling to other states for abortions. Or that interferes with medicines or tries to use data to track women who are seeking abortions.

I think he's ready to start governing by executive order?

He's really trashing the Supreme Court.

Final words: This is not over. More to come in coming weeks.

Even though the SCOTUS will shut it down ASAP.. the message is the thing we have right now. The citizens of this nation need to know that democrats are with them and will do everything we legally can to support their rights, dignity, and freedom.

He knew this was coming for months. Hell, the draft of the order was made public the first week of May. There should be a plethora of EOs on Biden's desk to be signed the moment that SCOTUS issued its decision.

Don't mull, DO!

monitor whether they go to another state for an abortion is to set up an extensive surveillance system on their private lives. Did you buy a pregnancy test at a local pharmacy using a credit card? Someone from the state will be calling to find out whether the test was positive. The other option here is to make home pregnancy tests illegal and require that they be used only in a pharmacy that is required to report the results of the test, along with a woman’s name, address, and phone number.

The NYT this week had an article about how Christian crisis pregnancy centers take data about women and share it with political agencies to track them. A woman who googles abortion help will first be shown misleading sites for these pregnancy centers that offer “medical” advice when their goal is to stop an abortion. For example, they do an ultrasound and then lie to women that they’re already 12 weeks pregnant and are too late for a medication abortion when that is not the case at all. These fake Christians lie to women, use disinformation and misleading advertising, and harass those who leave their centers after they find out that they only proselytize and do not offer abortions by repeatedly calling them to demand whether they ended their pregnancies. In violation of medical privacy laws, they report their information to state agencies.

Missouri already has a model set up to track women’s periods to ensure they do not have an abortion. This is from an article in the Guardian in 2019:

“As it turns out, the [Missouri] DHSS is so concerned about women’s health it has been keeping spreadsheets tracking the date of Planned Parenthood patients’ periods, in an attempt to figure out which of them “had undergone failed abortions”. Let me just repeat that: American government officials are tracking the menstrual cycles of thousands of women. But, you know, it’s for their own good so don’t worry about it.

Amazingly, we learned about the period spreadsheets because Dr Randall Williams, the director of DHSS – clearly thinking there was a nothing creepy about the affair – openly testified about them on Tuesday. Meanwhile Planned Parenthood and the doctors at the clinic had no idea these spreadsheets existed and were being used in this manner. Outrage rightly ensued.”

Just to review the current make up of the SCOTUS: Roberts (Dubya), Ginny's husband (Dubya's Dad), Breyer (Clinton), Alito (Dubya), Sotomayor (Obama), Kagan (Obama), Gorsuch (TFG), Barrett (TFG), Kavanaugh (TFG). That's six justices appointed by Repug presidents, or rather three by Repug presidents and three by an amoral RINO con man whose biggest campaign promise -- other than "Build The Wall" (not Pink Floyd's version) -- was that he would appoint only judges and justices who would overturn Roe v. Wade. Each of T***p's SCOTUS nominees lied through the their teeth when they said Roe was "settled law."

Both Dubya and TFG were elected by a minority of voters. And even though a sizeable majority of voters want abortion to be legal, a 50 year issue that we thought had been decided has been destroyed in the blink of an eye. With "trigger laws" in place, abortion will be illegal in 13 states within the next month Seven more states are likely to ban the procedure.

A federal law codifying the right to abortion could resolve this matter, but with Manchin's commitment to obstructing any progressive legislation, and the possibility of the House switching hands because of the sizeable number of people who always vote against their own interests (aka, "The Base" ) , the chance of any meaningful legislation being passed in the next decade is slim.

The religious crazies will be emboldened to ram their draconian agenda down our throats. They've already said they're going to eliminate birth control, even among married couples. After all, "every sperm is sacred." Clearly gay marriage is in the sights, and if they thought they could get away with it, outlawing interracial marriage would closely follow.

I mean, what happens here? Let's say I'm a 30 something woman who lives in Texas and I'm going to California to visit friends/family. Along with going through the normal security stuff, will I also have to take a pregnancy test before I leave the state, and then another one when I come back?
