From a smart friend - RE: Abortion ruling and phone apps

Delete your period tracking apps immediately, and encourage every person with a uterus you know to do the same. Go back to paper calendars or maintain your own locally stored spreadsheet.

I’m not kidding. Metadata held by the companies that provide those apps is vulnerable to subpoena by law enforcement in states that now ban abortion. Even if you’re in a state where it’s legal, your support for these apps make them still available. They need to be non-viable business models.

Also note, no matter what they say about protecting your data or muddling it so it’s not readable, they will not and they do not.

Even a locally stored spreadsheet can be accessed. I just think back to the words a cybersecurity expert told me once about there being two types of computers: those that have been hacked, and those that can be hacked.

Anyhow, keep a paper calendar with little penciled-in X’s, that nobody else has access to if you just tuck it in your wallet.

You don't records or video you purchased pregnancy kits or went to the doctor (there is a law enforcement exception in HIPAA so doctors may disclose medical records to authorities)

If you decide to travel, you need to leave your phone, not use a transponder or your own car with GPS or credit cards. All of this information will be used against you.

a period? For the love of God, it's not like you have to remember every 28 days unless it rains on a sunday then change that to 22 days. But if is partly cloudy before noon on a Thursday allow 30 days. Now, if the temperature drops below 55 after June then go to 27 days. Unless it's 90+ in May then you adjust to 35 days!

Overload the overlords. They can't keep shit straight even when they try anyway. But let's keep this hush-hush, just in case.

Just so you know, I'm having 2 abortions on every even numbered day and 3 on the odd ones. My wife and I are in our early 70's so we'll switch out as required. Whatever that can possibly mean.

And BTW, if there's a need or call for violence, please confine it to those actively seeking martyrdom. It's more fair and certainly more efficient that way.

Can't believe I felt the need to add the sarcasm smilie, but I did.

I do agree w/ the elimination of any kind of tracking service, for I've always never trusted any kind of tracking service for ANY reason on my phones or apps for any reason what-so-ever (my natural aversion to 'big brother').
