In this media environment, saying things like that often enough loud enough makes it true, or true enough to become a staple of cable news and social media conversations, and thereby be believed by most Americans.
Everyone should be saying: The Republican Court legalized forced organ harvesting. The Republican Court legalized forced organ harvesting. The Republican Court legalized forced organ harvesting.
Is it precisely, or even remotely, true? Who cares? The Repukes call abortion "baby killing" and lie about it every which way. Fuck pedantry and truthfulness. This is about acquiring and exercising power.
The Repukes spent the last half a century running on outlawing abortion/overturning Roe in every election at every level no matter how disconnected the office in question was from actually accomplishing that goal. They had a litmus test, and you couldn't get elected dog catcher by Repukes without worshipping at the altar of overturning Roe. No matter how much their political opponents rolled their eyes at the irrelevance of their antiabortion position to the matter at hand, their constant yammering about it a) normalized it as a political position, and b) somehow made it relevant to the offices they were seeking. It took decades, but they finally got enough power to accomplish it.
Perhaps Democrats need to adopt a similar stance with a constitutional amendment for bodily autonomy. Make passing a constitutional amendment protecting bodily autonomy part of the party platform, at every level. Make every single election of any kind about whether or not the candidate supports constitutional protections of your control over your own body -- with forcible "organ harvesting" playing the role that "baby killing" did for the Repukes. Make the GrOPers constantly have to take the opposite position (pro-organ-stealing) or hazard publicly agreeing with the Democratic Party.
Will such an amendment ever be ratified, or even passed? Unlikely. But maybe after a few decades of this we could at least get SCOTUS to reverse itself again.
