I see it and read about it every day. Last week a pit bull totally mauled a 3-year-old's face. A few years back another 3-year-old was killed by her dad's pet python. Every year a few kids are left in 150-degree cars while the parents are shopping. The clincher was a couple weeks ago: A young woman stepped forward to tell how the seven children she's given birth to are all her father's. He started abusing her when she was 14.

Priorities need to focus on the children after they're born.
