(18,670 posts)This is easy to say for people without uteruses or who haven't been pregnant or worse, who treat their uteruses like baby making conveyor belts and want everyone else to do the same. Pregnancy is scary and it is very hard on women's bodies. Our country has THE highest maternal mortality rates of any developed country. It is indeed slavery as someone else has said and women will die. Not just from botched abortions, but because even blue states have religious hospitals that won't perform life saving measures for women who have miscarried or are in danger if they carry a fetus to term. Healthcare for women is going to sink back into the dark ages. If this stands, in a few years most women will know someone who has died because of the USSC decision today.
