As awful as the last few weeks have been - starting with the leak and leading up to yesterday's ruling - 2022 has been the QOP Year of LGBTQ Hate. They hate women and want to control them. But they hate us and want to wipe us out.
Obergfell is next, no doubt. I could see some incel introducing a case in the hopes of getting it to the Extremes that destroys all trans rights and protections too. They've had us in their crosshairs all year, and yesterday had to be seen as an invite to go after us next - made worse by Uncle Clarence saying he wants to "correct" same-sex marriage rights and criminalize our sex.
Brown's on the list too. So is Griswold. And so is Loving. Yes, even with Thomas on the ECOTUS, I think he'd proceed in overturning Loving. He's self-loathing enough. Plus, for all we know, he'd be glad to distance himself from Ginni after the shitshow of the last year or so.
What we do know is we have an extreme, bigoted, activist court that made it clear yesterday that they are not only willing to revoke rights, but take delight in doing so.
Be afraid. Be very afraid.
